2018 Ducati 1299 Panigale
Unabashed pure adrenaline succinctly defines the 2018 Ducati 1299 Panigale. Named after the small city of Borgo Panigale, the third edition of the Italian superbike has already reached iconic status for road or track riding. It combines the iconic heritage of the Italian manufacturer with improved performance and plenty of innovation.
Consider the possibilities of the new Superquadro engine. The 357-pound machine matches 106.7 lb-ft of torque with a wowing 166mm bore to produce a jolting 205 horsepower. Its 1,285cc engine excels from 0-60 mph in 3.3 seconds and has a top speed of 190 mph. There’s no more powerful or advanced two-cylinder engine. The Bosch Inertial platform is impressively stable thanks to state-of-the-art electronics. Even downshifting is precise and fast with the trademark Ducati Quick Shift.
Imagine a trek in the Las Vegas desert on a superbike with amazing control, the same machine used in World Superbike racing. The 1299 Panigale has the new safety and performance components, Ducati Wheelie Control (DTC) Ducati Traction Control (DTC) and Engine Brake Control (EBC). The innovative features are more precise and engage faster. An automatic calibration system simplifies the driving ratio and changing tire sizes. Traction controls and riding modes and traction controls have been transferred to the new platform.
Agility remains a Ducati strength, but it’s further improved in the 1299 Panigale. The fork pivot is 4 millimeters lower, and the steering head angle on the monocoque chassis is set at 24 degrees. When you’re enjoying your day’s rental and exploring Las Vegas, the Ducati reputation will be omnipresent, particularly its signature handling and improved traction.
Beyond its improved performance and technology wizardry, the 1299 Panigale exudes design perfection. Its predecessor, the 1199 Pinwale, was honored with prestigious international design awards. The new version combines Ducati’s roots with its admired blueprint — practical, contemporary design.
Is there a more appropriate choice for a motorcycle enthusiast visiting Las Vegas? The 1299 Panigale has it all — style, performance, and innovation. It’s everything a motorcycle has to offer.
Royalty Exotic Cars is owned and operated by a small team of just 9 people.
Some of us are related by blood, others by sweat and tears. Together we're family.
I've rented a bunch of exotic cars from a bunch of different places and this is the most professionally run, clean, friendly one I've been to. It's run by a bunch of young guys that really love cars and they know how to take care of business while still making it a relaxed, fun experience. I did have a tiny issue when I was picking up the Mclaren 720S. When we were doing the walk around inspection, I knelt down to inspect the underside of the rear diffuser and I saw that the front edge of the undertray under the engine was hanging down within a couple inches of the ground. The guy was sort of acting like it was no big deal and I pressed him on it asking if it rips the entire undertray and diffuser off if it was fine and he kept telling me it wasn't going to rip off. It turns out that he was looking at the diffuser where a bolt was missing and he didn't see what I was actually talking about initially. Once he saw that I was talking about way up underneath the car and that the whole undertray was hanging off, he was apologetic and they quickly brought it around to their shop and replaced the 5 or 6 bolts that had backed out and we were only a few minutes behind getting out of there. They were cool about it and comped the fuel to apologize for the misunderstanding, which I thought was really nice of them. The bolt he saw missing really would have been no big deal and I didn't even notice it until he pointed it out, so he wasn't being unreasonable based on what he thought I was talking about. Moral of the story with ANY expensive car you are taking out is to look it over very carefully regardless of who you're renting it from. These guys are honest and I felt like they would be more than fair about any potential damage, but they're human too and if something gets missed on checkout, it could invite trouble when you return the car if it's not clear that it was damaged before you checked it out. Overall, we had such a good experience that we rented two Ducatis and a BMW motorcycle from them the next day which was also a really good experience.Read Full Review
