About Houston

Houston is living an American Dream. Exotic automobiles are his passion. But it took years of hard work in different careers to achieve his current status. He’s turned a lifetime interest in cars into a successful business as the founder of the country’s largest exotic car rental company.

Accessible to employees and customers, Houston takes pride in his adaptability while working in an arena of constant change. And since the automobile industry is continually evolving, Houston approaches running Royalty Exotic in the same manner.

“The constant evolution of the automotive is what I like to replicate my business after,” Houston says. “It's never being in a stalemate. It'a continually making something good great.”

With the success of Royalty Exotic Cars, Houston has arrived in an admirable place in his business world and personal life.

“Thankfully, I put myself in a position to get paid for what I love to do,” he says. “To help people experience their dream cars, work with dream cars and drive the most desirable cars in the world. So I guess my motivation is to get paid for what I love to do, rather than do it even if I don’t get paid.”

As a husband and father of a daughter, a sense of family is an integral component of success. The importance of family extends to the employees at Royalty, whom Houston considers part of his family. The contentment of family and the work environment operating in sync helps provide Houston with another strength.

"The most surprising thing that I am good at is adapting to any environment,” he says. “I don’t find myself uncomfortable in any situation. I always feel that if I find myself in a situation, I will come out of it successfully.”

Q&A

What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?

Being the founder of a company like Royalty Exotic Cars, there is so much overlap in my life, so professionally and personally I am extremely passionate about cars. The constant evolution of the automotive business is what I like to replicate my business after, never being in a stalemate and constantly making something good, great. Outside of vehicles, my main passion is family. My wife, my daughter and of course the employees that work here at Royalty because I do consider them my family.

What would you do even if you didn't get paid to do it?

Thankfully, I put myself in a position to get paid for what I love to do. Help people experience their dream cars, work with dream cars and drive the most desirable cars in the world. So I guess my motivation is to get paid for what I love to do, rather than do it even if I don’t get paid.

What are you surprisingly good at?

The most surprising thing that I am good at is adapting to any environment. I don’t find myself uncomfortable in any situation and I always feel that if I find myself in a situation I will come out of it successful.

What's the biggest proof that you're good at what you do?

The biggest proof that I am good at what I do is that I started from installing cable, to renting scooters on the Las Vegas Strip and being a cable guy to founding the largest exotic car rental company in the United States, creating an immensely popular YouTube channel and building my own vehicle. People tell me its the American Dream on the daily basis but it took a lot of hard work, long days and dedication.

How long have you been working in your field?

I have been involved with cars my entire life. About 4 years ago, I decided to make my hobby a career and haven’t looked back.

What's your biggest accomplishment?

I would say that my biggest accomplishment would be starting something so small, like scooter rentals, to becoming the largest exotic car rental company in the US. Not only is it a pretty big accomplishment as a business, but I have managed to provide my friends and family with a position that they can not only grow into, but grow with.

How does your education connect to your professional career? What about personal experiences?

The typical educational route just wasn’t for me, as it is not for many people, so I made my own path and decided to venture into business for myself. My personal experiences have been the best teacher. Learning how businesses work, how people work has been most beneficial to my growth.

What are you complimented on most in your work?

At work, I am complimented most about how approachable I am. Most Founders/CEO’s don't come in to the office on a daily basis, so being able to come in and see me and interact is very unique. I have made myself very accessible to clients and people seem to like that!

What do you like to do when you're not at work?

Well, when am I NOT at work? When I am not in the office, my favorite thing to do is hang out with my wife and daughter. Those 2 have changed my entire outlook on life and really put into perspective what is important to me. My other hobbies are taking the team to the movies, I enjoy going shooting, filming for our YouTube Channel, doing builds on cars and tryin new foods (which is an amazing thing to do in Vegas)

What is your plan for your life after your time at Royalty Exotic Cars?

I have no plan to leave Royalty Exotic Cars, but my direction for expansion is continuously evolving. Next, we plan to tackle Royalty Air, our own private airline that skips TSA and gives a customer service feel that will be unmatched!

If you could do anything with your time and talent, what would you do and why?

Every day I try and use my time to better our lives here at Royalty, not only do I want to live the best life possible, but I want to be able to provide that to everyone around me. So the use of my time is not only important to me, but those around me.
