About Tony

As a single father raising a six-year-old son and with a background in criminal justice and sociology, Tony is the ideal individual for his responsibilities at Royalty Exotics. He’s an expert communicator with a calm and confident demeanor. It’s a perfect skill set synergy for managing the showroom floor.

A transplant from Minneapolis, Minn., Tony has seven years of experience in the car rental business, including working in an exotic car niche for five years.

“I love being around good people and amazing cars in a positive working environment,” he says. “I am passionate about people, particularly seeing the enjoyment people get from driving our vehicles and the irreplaceable responses on their faces when they return one of the exotics.”

While the anticipation and excitement of driving a rare and expensive exotic vehicle may be stressful for clients, Tony’s forte is defusing the apprehension. He help thrives on clients having a pleasant experience.

“I am surprisingly good at calming an intense situation or person,” Tony says. “I have a very even-keel personality. It helps me in situations where I need to either de-escalate a situation or help clear up any miscommunications or confusion.”

Tony takes his job seriously, but the satisfaction he has in his employment likely fosters his sense of humor.

“I believe that I would still want to come into work and be around the team and cars, even if I didn't get paid from it,” he jokes. “That doesn’t mean stop paying me! But I love being around good people, amazing cars in the positive environment.”

While not embracing the exotic car industry, Tony enjoys exploring new things in Las Vegas with family and friends, and he’s immersed the relationship he has with his son.

Not many people can say they did things on their own, so I take great pride in the advancements I have made career-wise and personally raising a child, basically alone,” Tony says. “And for me, working at Royalty is a perfect fit.”

Q&A

What are you most passionate about professionally? Personally?

Professionally, I am most passionate about people. Seeing the enjoyment that people get from driving our vehicles and their responses when they return is irreplaceable. Personally, my biggest passion outside of work is my 6 year old son.

What would you do even if you didn't get paid to do it?

I believe that I would still want to come in to work and be around the team and cars, even if I didn't get paid from it. That doesn’t mean stop paying me! But I love being around good people, amazing cars in the positive environment.

What are you surprisingly good at?

I am surprisingly good at calming an intense situation or person. I have a very even keel personality and that helps me in situations where I need to either deescalate a situation or help clear up any miscommunications or confusion.

What's the biggest proof that you're good at what you do?

I think the biggest proof of me being good at what I do is the responsibility and confidence that is placed on me on a daily basis. Houston trusts me to be an extension of him and I believe that is a testament to my hard work and dedication to Royalty.

How long have you been working in your field?

I have been in the rental car industry for 7 years, the EXOTIC industry for 5, crossing 3 states. I started with a competitor. Soon after meeting Houston, we spoke about working for Royalty and it has been a perfect fit ever since.

What's your biggest accomplishment?

I would say besides being a full time father, my biggest accomplishment would be moving away from my hometown of Minneapolis, MN and going on to pursue my own dreams and aspirations outside of my comfort zone. Not many people can say they did things on their own, so I take great pride in the advancements I have made career wise and personally raising a child, basically alone.

How does your education connect to your professional career? What about personal experiences?

In college, I studied Criminal Justice and Sociology. On the surface, there may not seem to be many correlations between exotic car rental and criminal justice, but both require a level of service that caters to each individual versus a general conversation as well as a level of patience for people trying to get over on you or feel that something is owed to them. As far as it relating to my personal experiences, my education has taught me to be tough but understanding and realize that every situation and individual is different. Nothing is cookie cutter.

What problems do you consistently solve at work?

A problem I consistently solve at work is bridging the communication gap between employees and also between employees and upper management. At times, employees have trouble relaying their issues with ownership and I try and be the medium to try and get issues solved as efficiently and effectively as possible.

What are you complimented on most in your work?

I’m complimented the most on my ability to make a client comfortable. I find something that they can relate to and become their friend. Not only does it make them comfortable, but it makes work a lot more fun.

What do you like to do when you're not at work?

Outside of work, I enjoy sports, learning new things that can help better my career, trying new things in Las Vegas, hanging out with family and friends, going to see movies and hanging out with my son.

What is your plan for your life after your time at Royalty Exotic Cars?

I haven’t made a plan for my life after my time at Royalty. I don’t see Royalty as a temporary place to grow, but a business I can grow with. There is no limit or cap that can be put on Royalty, so why put a limit on what I can do with and for the company.

If you could do anything with your time and talent, what would you do and why?

If I could do anything with my time and talent, I would do whatever it took to make my family and friends happy. Being so low maintenance and selfless, I enjoy seeing people around me happy. So if I have the time and talent to make ensure their happiness, thats what I would spend my time doing that.
